Native Irish honey bees forage naturally across plants in the local landscape, including clover, hawthorn, blackberry and other native flowers. Mil Chonamara harvests its summer blossom honey at the end of July or early August. Each season's forage can differ, so this is not a promise of a fixed floral composition or flavour in every jar.

Small batches, lightly strained

The honey is described by the producer as raw, unpasteurised and lightly strained rather than heavily processed. “Blossom” on this page means the mixed summer honey; heather honey comes from the autumn season. Heather is itself a flowering plant, so the names describe the two products, not a botanical divide between flower and non-flower honey.
